1. Introduction and Scope
1.1 These Store Terms of Sale and Refund Policy ("Store Terms") govern your purchase of software products and licenses from the Uncharted Works storefront (the "Store"), operated by Uncharted Works LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Uncharted Works," "we," "us," or "our"). You, the party placing the order, are referred to as "you" or "your."
1.2 These Store Terms apply to every order you place through the Store. By placing an order, you agree to these Store Terms. If you do not agree, do not place an order.
1.3 These Store Terms supplement, and should be read together with, the Uncharted Works Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and — for any software license you purchase — the applicable Product's End User License Agreement (EULA). If there is a conflict between these Store Terms and a Product's EULA regarding how you may use the software, the EULA controls for license-use questions, and these Store Terms control for purchase, payment, and refund questions.
2. Definitions
The following terms have the meanings given below. Other terms are defined where they first appear.
- "Account" means your Uncharted Works account, to which licenses are provisioned.
- "Merchant of Record" or "MoR" means LemonSqueezy, the reseller that is the seller of record for your purchase, as described in Section 3.
- "Offering" means a specific purchasable plan, tier, or configuration of a Product, as presented at the point of sale. A Product may have multiple Offerings, including one-time licenses and subscriptions. The kinds of Offerings sold are described in Section 5.
- "Product" means any digital or physical good offered by Uncharted Works through the Store.
- "Subscription" means an Offering that renews automatically on a recurring basis.
3. Merchant of Record (LemonSqueezy)
3.1 LemonSqueezy is the Merchant of Record for all purchases made through the Store. This means that LemonSqueezy, not Uncharted Works, is the seller of record for the payment transaction. LemonSqueezy processes your payment, collects and remits all applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, and similar taxes, and issues your invoice or receipt.
3.2 Your purchase contract for payment is with LemonSqueezy as reseller. Uncharted Works provides the Product and grants any license to use it. In practical terms: you pay LemonSqueezy, and Uncharted Works delivers the Product and any associated license to your Account.
3.3 Because LemonSqueezy is the Merchant of Record, payment-related matters such as billing inquiries, invoices, tax documentation, and the management of recurring Subscriptions are handled through LemonSqueezy, including through the LemonSqueezy customer portal. Questions about the Product itself, your license, eligibility, or refund requests may be directed to Uncharted Works at support@unchartedworksllc.com.
3.4 Your use of LemonSqueezy's checkout and customer portal may also be subject to LemonSqueezy's own terms and privacy practices.
4. Eligibility and Age
4.1 To place an order, you must be at least 18 years old, or at least 13 years old with the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Store Terms on your behalf.
4.2 By placing an order, you represent that you meet the age requirement in Section 4.1 and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
4.3 Certain Offerings have additional eligibility requirements, described in Section 5 and Section 9 (for example, student verification and upgrade eligibility).
5. Products, Pricing, and Currency
5.1 Prices for Offerings are set in United States Dollars (USD), and transactions are processed in USD. For customers outside the United States, the Merchant of Record may display an estimated equivalent price in your local currency at checkout based on your location; your bank or card issuer performs the actual currency conversion and may apply its own exchange rate and fees. The price and any applicable taxes shown at checkout, as presented by the Merchant of Record, are what you pay (see Section 6 for taxes).
5.2 The Store offers Offerings of the following kinds. The specific Offerings available, their prices, any seat minimums, and any volume discounts are presented at the point of sale.
- One-time Offerings — a single payment that grants a perpetual license to the version of the Product purchased.
- Upgrade Offerings — a one-time payment that lets an existing license holder move to a newer version of a Product; available only to eligible holders (see Section 9).
- Subscription Offerings — recurring access that renews automatically (see Section 8). A Subscription may be sold per seat, may offer volume discounts based on seat count, and may set a minimum number of seats.
- Some Offerings require eligibility verification before an order can complete (for example, student status — see Section 5.3).
5.3 Student verification. Offerings that require student verification use SheerID, a third-party verification service, to verify your student status before your order completes. Any verification fee charged by SheerID is paid by you separately and is not part of the price collected by the Merchant of Record. If verification does not succeed, your order will not complete and no license will be granted.
5.4 We may change Offerings, prices, discounts, and availability at any time. Changes do not affect orders already completed, and renewal pricing for existing Subscriptions is governed by Section 8.
6. Taxes
6.1 As the Merchant of Record, LemonSqueezy is responsible for calculating, collecting, and remitting all applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, and similar transaction taxes on your purchase. The applicable tax, if any, is shown at checkout and reflected on the invoice or receipt LemonSqueezy issues.
6.2 The Offering prices in Section 5 are stated exclusive of taxes unless the Merchant of Record indicates otherwise at checkout based on your location.
7. Order Process and Acceptance
7.1 When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected Product. Your order is accepted, and a binding contract is formed, only when payment is successfully processed by the Merchant of Record and the order is confirmed.
7.2 We (or the Merchant of Record) may decline or cancel any order at our discretion, before or after payment — including for suspected fraud, payment failure, pricing or listing errors, failure to meet eligibility requirements (see Section 9), or restrictions under applicable law (see Section 13). Where an order is cancelled after payment, it is refunded through the Merchant of Record and grants no license.
7.3 You are responsible for providing accurate Account and contact information so that your license can be provisioned correctly.
7.4 Order confirmation and receipt. After your payment is processed, the Merchant of Record sends an order confirmation and receipt or invoice to the email address you provided at checkout. Keep this confirmation; it is your proof of purchase and you may need it to request support or a refund. Your license is provisioned to your Account once the order is confirmed.
8. Subscriptions, Automatic Renewal, and Cancellation
Please read this section carefully if you purchase a Subscription: it renews automatically and will continue to charge you until you cancel.
8.1 Automatic renewal. A Subscription renews automatically at the end of each subscription period, at the cadence presented at the point of sale (for example, annually), unless and until you cancel.
8.2 Renewal amount. At each renewal, the Merchant of Record charges the then-current price for your Offering — including, for per-seat Subscriptions, your current seat count and any applicable volume discount — plus applicable taxes. The renewal amount may differ from your initial purchase amount.
8.3 How to cancel. You may cancel a Subscription at any time, with no cancellation fee, through the LemonSqueezy customer portal or your Uncharted Works Account dashboard.
8.4 Effect of cancellation. Cancelling stops all future renewals and charges. Your license remains active through the end of the period you have already paid for, and the unused portion is not refunded except as provided in Section 10.
9. Eligibility Gating for Upgrades and Duplicate Licenses
9.1 Upgrade Offerings are available only to Accounts that already hold the prerequisite license identified at the point of sale.
9.2 Certain Offerings are limited to one active license per Account per Product, as identified at the point of sale. A purchase that would create a duplicate of such a license fails eligibility.
9.3 Eligibility must be satisfied before checkout and is verified again after payment. If an order nonetheless fails the post-payment verification — for example, an upgrade purchased without the required prerequisite license, or a purchase that would create a duplicate license — the order is automatically refunded through the Merchant of Record and grants no license.
10. Refund Policy
10.1 All sales are final. Except as expressly provided in this section, all purchases are non-refundable. If we terminate your Account without cause, unused prepaid amounts are refunded as provided in the Uncharted Works Terms of Service.
10.2 Free trial. Where a free trial is offered for a Product, we encourage you to use it to confirm that the Product meets your needs before you buy, because purchases are final.
10.3 Discretionary exchanges and partial refunds. Exchanges and partial refunds are not guaranteed. We may, at our sole discretion and on a case-by-case basis, grant an exchange or a partial or full refund if you contact us at support@unchartedworksllc.com and describe your situation. Where we grant a refund, it is processed through the Merchant of Record (LemonSqueezy).
10.4 Upgrade purchases are non-refundable. Upgrade Offerings grant access to the newer version immediately upon purchase and are therefore non-refundable.
10.5 Subscription refunds. Refunds for Subscriptions are handled on a case-by-case basis, requested as described in Section 10.7. Cancelling a Subscription is self-service (see Section 8) and stops future renewals; it is not by itself a refund of amounts already paid.
10.6 Orders that fail eligibility. Orders that are automatically cancelled for failing eligibility verification are refunded as described in Section 9.3, regardless of the other provisions of this Section 10.
10.7 How to request a refund. To request a discretionary refund or exchange under this Section 10, contact us at support@unchartedworksllc.com from the email address associated with your Account. Please include your order or receipt number (from the confirmation the Merchant of Record sent you), the Offering purchased, and a brief description of your reason. We aim to acknowledge refund requests promptly. If we approve a refund, we authorize it through the Merchant of Record; tax-only refund requests are handled directly by the Merchant of Record and must be submitted to it within the window it sets (currently 60 days after purchase).
10.8 How approved refunds are paid. Approved refunds are issued by the Merchant of Record to the original payment method used at checkout. Once a refund is issued, it may take up to 10 days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card issuer. Refunds are made in the original transaction currency; any difference caused by exchange-rate movement between purchase and refund is outside our and the Merchant of Record's control.
10.9 Effect of a refund on your license. When a purchase is refunded — whether discretionary, eligibility-based, or following a payment dispute — the corresponding license, Subscription, or upgrade entitlement is revoked and removed from your Account, and you must stop using the refunded Product. For an upgrade Offering that is refunded, any newer-version access it granted is withdrawn. Revocation and its effect on your use of the Product are as described in the applicable Product's EULA.
10.10 What disqualifies a discretionary refund. Discretionary refunds and exchanges under this Section 10 are not available where we reasonably determine there has been fraud, refund abuse (including repeated buy-and-refund patterns), a violation of the applicable Product's EULA or these Store Terms, or a misrepresentation of eligibility (for example, false student status). Any free trial offered (see Section 10.2) exists so you can evaluate the Product before purchasing.
10.11 Statutory withdrawal and consumer rights. Nothing in this Section 10 limits any non-waivable refund, withdrawal, or cancellation rights you may have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your jurisdiction. In particular, consumers in the European Union, the United Kingdom, and certain other jurisdictions may have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content within a set period (generally 14 days). Where that right applies to digital content supplied immediately, you may be asked at checkout to consent to immediate delivery and to acknowledge that, by doing so, you lose the statutory right of withdrawal once delivery (download or transmission, including provisioning of the license to your Account) has begun. Where the statutory right has not been lost and applies to your purchase, it prevails over the "all sales final" rule in Section 10.1 to the extent required by law.
11. Fraud, Abuse, and Non-Transferability
11.1 No resale or transfer. Licenses and Subscriptions purchased through the Store are provisioned to your Account and are personal to you. You may not resell, sublicense, rent, lend, gift, or otherwise transfer a license, Subscription, or upgrade entitlement to another person or Account, except where the applicable Product's EULA expressly permits a transfer. Purchases made through unauthorized resellers, or licenses obtained outside the Store, are not supported and may be voided.
11.2 Fraud and abuse. We and the Merchant of Record may decline, cancel, void, or refund any order, and may suspend or terminate any license, Subscription, or Account, where we reasonably detect fraud, payment abuse, refund abuse, falsified eligibility (including false student verification), or other manipulation of the Store, pricing, discounts, or refund process. Where an order is voided for these reasons after payment, any amount paid is refunded through the Merchant of Record and the associated license is revoked.
12. Chargebacks
12.1 If you believe there is a problem with a charge, please contact us first at support@unchartedworksllc.com so we can try to resolve it. Most issues can be resolved more quickly and fully through support than through your bank or card issuer.
12.2 Because LemonSqueezy is the Merchant of Record, payment disputes and chargebacks are handled by LemonSqueezy. When a dispute is raised, LemonSqueezy responds to the bank or card issuer on the transaction's behalf, but the issuer makes the final decision. Disputes may take time to resolve and may carry fees imposed by the payment provider.
12.3 Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute may result in the suspension or termination of the associated license, Subscription, and Account while the dispute is investigated and resolved. Repeated or abusive chargebacks may result in permanent loss of access and a refusal of future orders.
13. Restricted Jurisdictions, Export, and Sanctions
13.1 The Store and its Products are available globally, except where prohibited by applicable law or by the policies of relevant intermediaries and governing bodies, including Apple, Google, LemonSqueezy, and applicable regulators.
13.2 You may not purchase, download, or use the Products in violation of any applicable export-control or economic-sanctions laws, including those administered by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC). You represent that you are not located in, and are not ordering on behalf of anyone located in, a country or region subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, and that you are not a person with whom dealings are prohibited under applicable sanctions law.
13.3 We may decline or cancel any order that we reasonably believe would violate this Section 13.
14. Changes to These Store Terms
14.1 We may update these Store Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time you place an order governs that order. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document when we make changes, and material changes affecting active Subscriptions will be communicated as required by applicable law before they take effect at your next renewal.
15. Dispute Resolution
15.1 Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Store Terms or your purchase is resolved as set out in the Uncharted Works Terms of Service — including its governing law, informal-resolution requirement, binding individual arbitration, class-action waiver, small-claims and other exceptions, and venue — which applies equally to these Store Terms.
15.2 Payment-related disputes that fall under the Merchant of Record relationship may also be subject to LemonSqueezy's own terms.
